Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
If a visitor enters a name or case number into one of the site's search boxes, the query is sent directly to the outside company operating that tool. The provider processes the entry and returns its results. We do not keep a log of search terms on our own systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
Messages sent by email are retained so we can answer them. They remain within the team and are not disclosed outside it unless the law requires disclosure.

Wisconsin Court Docket does not host, build, keep, or sell a database of case records or official court dockets. The site offers general directions to Wisconsin Circuit Court Access, the Wisconsin Court System, and county Clerks of Circuit Court, which hold the government case records. Judicial access follows Wisconsin law and court policy, including the Wisconsin Public Records Law and the court system's online access rules; court-file retention is addressed separately in Supreme Court Rule Chapter 72. None of the visitor information described here is turned into a consumer report or a third-party case file.

Outside providers operate the search boxes on this website. Entries submitted through those boxes are governed by each provider's privacy policy and retention practices. We do not control how those companies handle their data. Read a provider's terms before entering information.

Links may lead to county clerk pages, Wisconsin court portals, legal aid organizations, or independent search services. A click takes you to another operator, whose privacy terms then apply. Review those terms before providing personal information. WCCA posts its own online information disclosure policy; that court policy does not make this reference site the custodian of a case file.

They are separate from the policies of advertising and analytics providers linked from this site. Advertising partners may track browsing on their systems to select ads; we do not operate those tracking systems.
